What If Laur Ihermann Was A Character?

19. October 09/ - a theatrical presentation of a student

As a student on the theatre line you will quickly be confronted with the Stanislavskij (or Станиславский for native speakers) -system, which contains an uncountable amount of questions one should answer before playing the character. In the following Laur and Anne Marie will (desperately) try to answer these questions about the character/person LAUR:

What if? I was Laur?

Circumstances: Laur originated from Estonia, where he among other things went to Theatre High School of Tallinn 32. for 3 years. Afterwards he blackmailed himself into the Commedia School in Copenhagen, where he spent one year.  This is also how he got in contact with Performers House as he went to a festival at the Højskole in May 2009.

Task: Laur wants to take on personal challenges and get as much as experience within the acting field as possible.

Goal: Improve himself as a person.

Obstacle: Personal boundaries and such.

Evaluation: Hard time, but fun and interesting in general

Approach: the approach is to be open minded and free to take chances.

Attitude: If life deals you lemons, make lemonade. sss

Tempo/Rhythm: Everything is in fast pace.

Level of importance: Any experience is VERY valid, as it concerns LIFE.

Communication and interaction: Communication functions very well, especially with a beer in one hand.

Physical State: Good shape, apart from a common viral infection in which the mucous membrane of the nose and throat becomes inflamed, typically causing running at the nose, sneezing, a sore throat, and other similar symptoms. Hopefully it’s not a highly contagious viral infection of the respiratory passages causing fever, severe aching, and catarrh.

Inner monologue (woman’s voice): “We’re sorry. The number you have reached has been disconnected.”

Sense Memory: Temporary amnesia.

Expectations: Make things as hard as possible and as efficient as possible.
