For two weeks the theatre line at Performers House worked intensely with a theatre cabaret that turned out successfully – both for the audience and the actors.

 The show was full of humour, seriousness, love and music. It was obvious that the the theatre line students had been working hard during the past two weeks. They were well prepared and the audience was well entertained all the time. During the show the students appeared as pop stars, they where dressed up as and imitated famous artists. One of these was Britney Spears.

Preparing the cabaret was hard work, as one of the actors tell: “The working process has been very intense,” says Sine Thomsen.

She explains how the work progressed: “In only two weeks we had to learn not only our lines, but also how the different characters and pop stars behave and act in different situations. We were all under a lot of pressure, but tried our best to make the production function as well as possible.”

- Did you have more than one character and how did you experience it?
--
“Personally I had to work with three completely different characters, namely Britney Spears, a young actress and a lesbian girl.”

- Did you run into any complications during the process?
--
“The biggest problem for me was that in the beginning I had difficulties with separating the characters from each other, and therefore it was hard to focus on one at a time. Luckily, I managed to do so after a couple of days.”
After the show we asked her how she thought the final show turned out:
“It was a good experience to see the reactions from the audience – and actually I would like to do it again! We were all very focused on our tasks and the show turned out successfully!”
