It's best if I have the melody first

29. April 10/ Interview with Ea from Music Line

Could you describe your line in 5 words?
- Nice! Fun, challenging, exciting. Jamming!

How is a typical basic-week for you?
- Monday Jeppe is teaching us rhythms, Tuesday we work with Sus with focus on song/text-writing, Wednesday the focus is on each musician's key-instrument, incl. Song and in the afternoon we play our music! Friday we work with studio-technics with Jacob, a guest-teacher.

What did you do for Main Subject Project and how long time did it take?
- Preparations for Main Subject Project took about three weeks – Sus and Jeppe decided the theme Transformation, we were divided into random groups, of ca, three in each group, and started working on our own material – of course if we needed more musicians for the pieces some from the other teams would join in.

How did you create the piece?
- We started out with a guitar-piece, and the song evolved from there – it's very different how I make the lyrics, it's best if I have the melody first. This one was hard though because it went in 7-8, which is way more complicated than say, 4-4.

What project are you working on now?
- For the festival we’re working on new songs, more freely this time, with no special theme. My goal is to compose more.

Do you have a personal aim for the whole stay?
- In general my personal aim with this stay is to improve my technical skills, like notes, rhythms and so on.
